 根据最近的消息，微软似乎有意将Windows 7 Starter作为主要版本提供给netbook制造商。有关Starter版本三个程序限制的消息早已不是什么新闻，很多IT站点，包括Vista之家在内都在很久之前报道过。但昨天“华尔街邮报”发表的有关此限制的文章则是引发了公众的极大关注。

或许对于用户而言，更关心的是Starter版本的价格，而不是技术上的三个版本限制。最近微软曾透露netbooks版的XP售价将低于15美元，netbooks版的Windows 7显然也不会多高，否则如何跟XP竞争。而为了弥补低价销售带来的损失，微软将宝押在了升级上，微软认为如果用户对当前WIndows 7版本不满意的话，可以升级到更高版本。

不过，微软此举实在是有些冒险，且不说在当前的经济形势下有多少人会愿意掏腰包升级，一旦用户意识到自己买回来的系统居然只能运行三个系统程序，微软恐怕就要有麻烦了。

小编：比起三个程序限制是为了保证系统流畅运行的说法，我宁愿相信这是为了促使用户升级到更高版本。
