 此前曾有消息称，Windows 7 Build 7057 开始将阻止第三方视频解码器。而近日微软发言人向媒体确认了Windows 7可以使用第三方解码器。之前在Windows 7 RC分支的版本中，第三方解码器并无法正常工作。

“随着Windows 7发布日期的临近，我们已经向Windows 7中添加了大量解码器以支持更多文件格式。同时，用户可以任意选择使用系统自带的解码器还是使用第三方提供的解码器，跟以往一样，微软并不会禁用第三方解码器。”

上个月月底时，曾有开发者指出，Windows 7 Build 7057中的MPEG 4和H.264解码器根本无法移除或覆盖，此后泄露的7068版本也有同样问题。

但需要指出的是，Windows 7现在仍然处于一个从Beta向RC过渡的阶段，在此期间，微软还会对其进行大量修改，最终正式版肯定与现在的版本有所区别。
