 2008年可以说是Netbook开始大热的一年，但微软似乎并没有因此也同样大热，因为多数Netbook都是预装的Linux或者XP，Vista由于其较高的硬件要求，并未能在Netbooks市场上分一杯羹。作为小型轻薄上网本，用户更多地关注的是移动性而不是性能，所以大多乐于使用XP，而不是Vista。微软在开发Vista时显然没有预见到这样的趋势，不然无论如何也要让Vista成为Netbooks市场的霸主的，要知道，在当前的经济形势下，Netbook市场的蓬勃发展无疑是一剂强心针。

但亡羊补牢，为时未晚。站在Vista这个巨人的肩膀上，Windows 7除了加入了一些性能外，也在性能、资源占用等方面作出了一系列改进。微软也保证Windows 7的硬件需求比Vista要低，而事实证明即使是Netbook也可以流畅运行Windows 7。而最重要的是，在当前的硬件基础上，Windows 7在性能上比Vista和XP都要更胜一筹。

Vista SP2已经快要发布了，但大多数用户都还是想要Windows 7。因此，我觉得我们有必要感谢Netbook，要不是它，微软绝不会这么这样改进Windows 7，至少，不会这么快。
