 正如所有软件产品一样，不仅仅软件需要适用于Windows 7，Windows 7本身也需要适应广大用户的需求。近日，微软称Windows 7的目标不仅仅是保证Vista下能够正常使用的软件在Windows 7下也能正常运行，而且会尽可能地使Vista下存在兼容性问题的软件也能在Windows 7下使用。也就是说，微软将会把Windows 7的兼容性提升至一个全新的层面，能够接受Vista所不能接受的软件。

“为了确保兼容，Windows 7不仅仅在内核上和Vista保持一致，在软件兼容性上也做了一些改进。例如，目前为止，有30款在Vista下无法运行的软件可以在Windows 中正常工作，这说明Windows 7的兼容性要好于Vista。”

同时，微软还保证，以前无法在Vista下运行却能在Windows 7下运行的这些软件都将通过改进使其能够在Vista下正常工作。这些软件主要包括以下三种：

1.微软合作伙伴开发的软件
2.微软自己开发的软件
3.第三方软件，指由第三方开发的、非英语、不在英语国家市场销售的软件

为了让Windows 7的兼容性得到全球范围内用户的认可，微软可谓是下足了功夫。
