 包括我在内，我想大多数人对Windows 7的关注都是从去年泄露的Windows 7 M1的截图开始的，那时一下子就被吸引住了，并忍不住对Windows 7产生了无限遐想。而转眼间Windows 7已经从最初的M1，M2，M3到pre-beta，Beta再到现在即将发布的RC了。有关Windows 7的发布日期、升级计划、售价等等也都一一曝光了。我觉得，是时候回顾一下了。

这是继Windows Vista后微软新一代系统的第一个泄露版本，当时泄露出的视频也是大受欢迎，但随后就有很多人质疑这不是Windows 7而是Vista，而严格的说，当时的版本确实跟Vista每年多大区别，但Build 6519.1.x86.fre.winmain.071220-1525确实是真的，从中大家知道了Windows 7的版本号会是6.1，也就是说，是Vista的改进版本。

随后，由于少数测试者拿到了Build 6519.1.x86.fre.winmain.071220-1525版本，想想也知道会泄露。当时很多人试用还是在怀疑只是Vista的美化版本，但事实上这确实是Windows 7，只是外观上改变不大，微软解释称当时重点是放在内核的改进上。

在接下来的D6大会上，微软主管Julie Larson-Green首次公布了Windows 7的官方视频。

2008年8月14日

这一天，微软Windows 7的官方博客Engineering Windows 7正式启动并发布了第一篇文章。从此之后，Engineering Windows 7官方博客开始成为Windows 7开发进度的消息源，直到现在，还在持续不断地更新。

就在大家都在纷纷猜测继Vista后，Windows 7会以什么名称亮相时，微软经理Mike Nash一语道破天极，既不是此前的Vienna，也不是其他单词，出乎意料的就是开发代号，Windows 7。此前抢注Vienna域名的顿时眼前一片黑暗...

说到这两个版本，大家就要熟悉多了，去年的PDC 2008上，微软发布了Windows 7 Build 6801，可谓一鸣惊人，一时大热。随后，WinHec大会期间，Build6956就泄露了。

这个就不用说了，此前曾有人猜测Build 6956就会是官方Beta版本，但随后就证实了Windows 7 Beta的版本号为7000，这个版本发布后，大众对Windows 7的热情更是达到了最高点，全民皆Windows 7了。而这个版本的稳定性，功能性，易用性更是出人意料的好，几乎所有网站在谈及Windows 7时都是溢美之词。

Windows 7 Release Candidate

如今，Windows 7 Beta已经发布1个多月了，而有消息称Windows 7 RC将在4月10号发布。如果消息属实，那么RTM其实也就不远了。按照微软的惯例，RC之后要改动的东西就已经很少了。
