 当微软介绍下一代操作系统Windows 7时，其改进过的用户界面一直以来都备受争议，而其中个性化也是一个重要的部分。在Windows 7中，微软主要提供了两个关键的桌面个性化功能：主题风格和壁纸自动换。

简单说来，主题风格就是壁纸、颜色外观、声音方案和屏幕保护的结合体。Windows 7发布时就内置了不少主题。同时，这样主题还可以保存并传输到另一台Windows 7机器上使用，微软还打算在Windows 7正式版发布时提供主题风格在线交易或出售。

另外，Windows 7还根据区域的不同，提供了不同的主题，主要有加拿大、澳大利亚、英国、美国和南非。这些文件都隐藏在C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT下。

而Windows 7中的另一个功能，slide shows，英文名字很好听，其实就是我们所说的壁纸自动换。

主题风格

PS:在Windows 7 Beta中，风格（Style）还是称作主题（theme），但微软称在未来的版本中将改名为风格。

目前，Windows 7 Beta的默认风格为Aero，默认声音方案和Windows Logo屏保。壁纸么自然是Beta鱼了，不过正式版中肯定要换成新壁纸的。

想保存主题的话，点击保存主题按钮就行了，保存后的主题文件扩展名为.theme，和Vista下一样，就是不知道将来会不会改成.style。保存后的主题可以复制到其他机器上继续使用。

从Vista美化教程中，我们知道，.theme文件是可以用记事本打开的，Windows 7下也是一样，通过更改其中的内容，就可以自定义主题了。

这个功能，其实就是我们之前用软件或计划任务实现的定时更换壁纸功能。比较简单，大家应该也都用过，而且之前我们有过详细介绍，这里就不多说了。

一点感想

遍览过主题和壁纸自动换之后，唯一的遗憾就是无论默认主题怎么换，资源管理器的工具栏都是乏味的蓝色，不过不管怎么说，Windows 7已经是迄今最为个性化的系统了。

小编：有关资源管理器工具栏问题，相信可以通过主题修改和创作来解决。而对于美化爱好者而言，仅仅这几个内置的主题显然是不够的。到Windows 7发布时，之家会力争为大家介绍和创作更多精美主题。

While Microsoft's attempts to streamline and simplify the Windows 7 user interface are arguably the number one focus for this new Windows version, personalization isn't far behind. According to the software giant, a huge percentage of Windows users customize their PC desktop with a picture, using either a personal photo or something that they've downloaded from the Web. And users are clamoring for more ways in which to customize the PC experience and make it their own. In Windows 7, Microsoft offers two key desktop customization features that address these needs: Styles and desktop slide shows.

Put simply, Styles are a formal combination of desktop background, Aero glass window color, sound scheme, and screen saver. Windows 7 comes with a number of built-in Styles, and users can create their own by building off of them. Styles can be saved, of course, and they're also portable, meaning that they can be packaged up and copied from machine-to-machine. Microsoft expects users and third party partners to trade and perhaps even sell Styles online when Windows 7 is finalized.
