 在过去的一年里，我是云计算的忠实拥护者。但展望2009，我觉得对整个IT业影响最大的产品就是微软的新版Windows，也就是Windows 7。微软将会在今年以两种形式发布此系统，Windows 7和Windows Server 2008 R2。我相信这两者都会是相当出色的系统，他们的到来将宣布XP和2003的死亡。

Windows 7 Beta

新的一年刚开始，微软就发布了Windows 7 Beta。这对所有企业而言是一个绝好的机会以好好对该版本进行估值，因为我相信微软只会发布一个Beta，紧接着就是一个RC版本，然后直接正式版。如果事实如此的话，4月左右，Windows 7基本就完成了。也就是说，不像Vista那样，企业们根本没有多少时间来做好准备。

由于Vista的关系，很多人谈到Windows 7的第一印象都不是很好，因为两者看起来太像了，但如果你能深入了解一下的话，相信你会有不小的改观。

说到性能，我觉得微软会让人们大吃一惊。如果你所工作的企业因为Vista的坏名声而没有升级到Vista的话，你应该重新审视一下Windows 7。虽然看起来很像，但Windows 7的启动和运行更快，系统配置要求更低，甚至在Netbook级的机器上也能流畅运行。

而谈到企业用户，由于Vista SP1的良好基础，Windows 7也有一系列的优点：

*优化过的用户界面
*改进后的Bitlocker To Go加密
*更纯净、更小的体积
*优越的兼容性
*配置要求低，无需升级硬件
*更好的ReadyBoost功能
*卓越的电源管理
*更好用的系统修复

这些，对企业用户而言，自然是极大的助力，也为他们提供了升级到Windows 7的理由。

For all the talk about cloud computing this past year--and believe me, I'm a huge proponent of this emerging computing trend--as I look forward to 2009, the biggest product I see impacting IT is in fact the most classic Microsoft product of all, Windows. More specifically, I'm referring to Windows 7, which in 2009 will appear in both client and server form, the latter branded as Windows Server 2008 R2. These products will together define what kind of year the software giant and its customers will have.
