 日前，微软官方已经发布了Windows 7 Beta，并保证Vista SP1用户可以顺利升级到Windows 7 Beta，那么XP用户呢？微软并未为XP用户提供任何升级计划。

一位微软发言人称在Windows 7正式版发布之前不会决定哪些会包括在正式版中，哪些不会包括在内，微软建议在Beta阶段，还是安装到干净分区中比较好。

考虑到XP与Vista和Windows 7在内核上的不同，提供XP到Windows 7的升级并非明智之举。其实，就算是Windows 7 正式版，最好的方法也还是全新安装，即使微软提供了XP/Vista→Windows 7的升级。

The version of Windows 7 Beta 1 that Microsoft (NSDQ:MSFT) made available for download on its Technet site Thursday does not support upgrades from systems running its Windows XP operating system!

It does, however, permit upgrades from Vista SP1 to Windows 7.

A Microsoft spokesman said that no final decisions have yet been made about what will be included or not included in the generally available version of Windows 7, but that the company as a practice advises only clean installations of operating systems during the beta phase anyway.
