 即使对于最不称职的程序员而言，对Vista作出改进也并非难事，但微软通过Windows 7所做的远不止是改进这么简单。如果最近泄露的这个版本真的是Windows 7 Beta的话，那么这个版本几乎可以公布发布了。

雷德蒙软件巨头似乎正在竭尽全力保证Windows 7的质量，对Windows 7的要求不只是“足够了”这么简单了。微软采取了大量的措施以确保Windows 7尽量接近完美。

Vista从发布第一天起就存在不少问题，而即使正式版也经常被人称作Vista Beta(言下之意，Windows 7才是Vista正式版)。但Windows 7不会这样了。

ZDnet的报道称Windows 7只会有一个Beta版本。而目前这个Windows 7 Beta可以说是Windows 7众多版本中最好的一个，甚至可以说是XP以来最好的操作系统。

也就是说，Windows 7已经完成。另外还有报道称这个Beta版本比此前系统的Beta版本运行更流畅，反应更快，甚至包括Vista。

很多流言称Windows 7将会在2010年发布，但现在看来这样一个在Beta阶段已经具有如此完整的功能和丰富特性的系统是不大可能那么晚发布的。很有可能微软会在2009年夏天发布Windows 7。

Redmond appears to have outdone itself with the quality of Windows 7.  It did not do “just enough” but seems to have really put a ton of quality control into making sure that Windows 7 would be as close to perfection as possible.

Vista had problems from day one and the final version was often called a beta or barely alpha.  This is not the case with Windows 7.

ZDnet reports that Windows 7 will only have one beta before it is released.  This beta appears to be the highest quality beta ever released by Microsoft and possibly the best operating system since Windows XP.
