在 Surface RT 平板电脑上市之时，微软虽为其预装了 Office 2013 RT Home & Student 办公套装，但其只包括 Word、Excel、PowerPoint 和 OneNote 2013 RT 组件，并没有带有专门为 Windows RT 而优化的 Outlook 邮件客户端。

现在，微软官方正式宣布 Windows RT 8.1 更新中将包括完整桌面版Outlook 2013。这一举措又增强了Windows RT平板电脑的移动办公性能。

但微软今日并未公布过多有关Outlook 2013 RT的消息，具体详情还是期待6月底的Build 2013大会吧。
