 大概半个月之前，国外著名调研机构Gartner曾在一份报告中指出，用户，尤其是企业用户无需等待Windows SP1，因为对于Windows 7而言，SP1已经不像之前XP的服务包那样重要了。

在这一点上，微软和Gartner可谓是“英雄所见略同”。微软罗马尼亚的主管Tudor Galos在接受采访时就称：

“Windows 7将会是史上最为安全的系统，也会是最为稳定的系统。从Beta版的稳定性上就可以看出这一点。我们并不建议用户现在就部署WIndows 7，但也不希望用户犹豫不决，等待Windows 7 SP1。对于企业用户而言，最好能从现在开始测试Windows 7。我觉得等待Windows 7 SP1完全没有必要。”

而至于原因，很大程度上就是因为与Vista共用一个内核。而且，跟Vista相比，Windows 7更像是Vista 2.0，站在Vista的基础上，Windows 7确实不需要通过SP服务包的形式来解决各种各样的问题。

最后，Tudor Galos也没忘记推广一下Vista，

“当然，我们建议用户最好能先升级到Vista或者Vista SP1，因为从Vista升级到Windows 7的过程将会相当相当轻松。”
