 Windows 7 Beta已经泄露不少天了，那么跟XP和Vista相比，Windows 7 Beta在性能上有哪些优势呢？来自ZDnet的测试也许可以说明一些问题：

在测试之前，有件事情要说一下，我将要测试的版本为：Windows 7 build 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400是一个Beta版本，按照以往的规则，Beta版本主要注重于稳定性而非性能，也就是说，这个版本的性能多少可以给我们提供点线索：这款系统到底会成啥样？

测试内容：

   1. Install OS - 安装所需时间
   2. Boot up - 平均启动时间（直到桌面可用为止）
   3. Shut down - 平均关机时间
   4. Move 100MB files - 移动100MB大小的JPG文件到别的盘
   5. Move 2.5GB files - 移动2.5G文件（由1M-100M不同大小的文件组成）到别的盘
   6. Network transfer 100MB files - 从测试机器移动100MB的JPG文件到NAS设备
   7. Network transfer 2.5GB files - 从测试机器移动2.5G文件（由1M-100M不同大小的文件组成）到NAS 设备
   8. Move 100MB files under load - 在转换DVD-ISO的同时，移动100MB大小的JPG文件到别的盘
   9. Move 2.5GB files under load - 在转换DVD-ISO的同时，移动2.5G文件（由1M-100M不同大小的文件组成）到别的盘
  10. Network transfer 100MB files under load - 在转换DVD-ISO的同时，从测试机器移动100MB的JPG文件到NAS设备
  11. Network transfer 2.5GB files under load - 在转换DVD-ISO的同时，从测试机器移动2.5G文件（由1M-100M不同大小的文件组成）到NAS 设备
  12. Compress 100MB files - 采用内置的ZIP系统压缩100MB大小文件
  13. Compress 1GB files - 采用内置的ZIP系统压缩1GB大小文件
  14. Extract 100MB files - 采用内置的ZIP系统解压100MB大小文件
  15. Extract 1GB files - 采用内置的ZIP系统解压1GB大小文件
  16. Install Office 2007 - 从DVD安装Microsoft Office 2007 Ultimate
  17. Open 10 page Word doc - 打开10页Word文档（不含图片）
  18. Open 100 page Word doc - 打开100页Word文档（含图片）
  19. Open simple Excel doc - 打开简单Excel文件（基本格式）
  20. Open complex Excel doc - 打开复杂Excel文件（包含方程和图表）
  21. Burn DVD - 使用CDBurnerXP烧录Windows 7 Beta.ISO到光盘
  22. Open 10 page PDF - 使用最新的Adobe Reader 8打开10页PDF文件（不含图片）
  23. Open 100 page PDF - 使用最新的Adobe Reader 8打开100页PDF文件（含图片）

测试系统：

Windows 7 build 7000 32位
Windows Vista SP1 32位
Windows XP SP3 32位

测试方法：

测试中，
优胜者得分为1
居中者得分为2
最后者得分为3

最后，将所有项目的得分相加，数值最小者为优胜。

测试机器：

*AMD Phenom 9700 2.4GHz  ATI Radeon 3850  4GB  RAM
*Intel Pentium D E2200 2.2GHz NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS  1GB RAM

测试结果：

结论

从上面的结果中相信大家都可以看到，结论已经很明显了，虽然Windows 7 Beta还只是测试阶段，到正式版之间的这段时间里，代码还有可能会发生改变（虽然事实上这些改变只会让系统更好），另外，在测试中我还发现，这个系统在UI上还有点问题，UAC也有可能会破坏某些软件的安装包，但不得不承认，这是一款相当优秀和稳定的系统。

    Important note: Before I go any further I feel I need to make a point, and make it clear. The build I’m testing of Windows 7 (build 6.1.7000.0.081212-1400) is a beta build, and as a rule beta builds are usually more geared towards stability than performance. That said, the performance of this build should give us a clue as to how the OS is coming along.

Rather than publish a series of benchmark results for the three operating systems (something which Microsoft frowns upon for beta builds, not to mention the fact that the final numbers only really matter for the release candidate and RTM builds), I’ve decided to put Windows 7, Vista and XP head-to-head in a series of real-world tests to find out which OS comes out top.
