 目前，Windows 7的开发已经达到Build 7262了。但到7232版本为止微软就不再使用RC标签了。7260则是直接打上了RTM的标志，说明Windows 7确实离RTM越来越近了。

但是日前国外有网友称Build 7260 (6.1.7260.0.win7_rtm.090612 -2110)并非Windows 7 RTM版本分支，而是属于RC-banch。证据在于泄露的ISO中的Source文件中的idwbinfo.txt中，打开该文件会发 现，“[BUILDINFO], BuildArch=x86, BuildType=fre, BuildBranch=winmain_win7rc, OfficialBuild=TRUE, MainBuild=FALSE, Coverage=FALSE.”。

最近泄露的Windows 7 Build 6.1.7261.0.win7_rtm.090615-1900 更是说明微软日前处于极其紧张的开发阶段，因为该版本编译于礼拜天，Windows 7的开发人员已经开始24X7的开发了。

而根据Wzor的消息，微软还是很有可能将7260作为最终版本号。一切，再等一段时间就会见分晓了。
